Is 5G coming to the next iPhone and iPad Pro?
In 2020, high-speed 5G communication services will be launched in countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, and the United Kingdom. And, along with that, the next iPhone and the next iPad Pro that support 5G may appear crunchy.
According to analysts, the next iPhone will be available later this year, supporting both millimeter-wave and sub-6GHz bands of 5G.
Millimeter wave (mmWave) is a technology that achieves high-speed communication by using radio waves of higher frequencies. It is a favorite of the benefits of 5G. On the other hand, although the communication speed of the sub-6GHz band is not so high, it is characterized by being hardly blocked by obstacles.
Two UBS Securities analysts also report that the next iPhone, 6.7 “/6.1” (the top model) will have 6GB RAM and a 3D sensor . This is a big jump up compared to 4GB RAM of iPhone 11 Pro / Pro Max. Large amounts of RAM may be used for new features with 3D sensors, such as augmented reality and photography.
