Activision announced yesterday that Call of Duty: WWII would be the next entry to the series after last month’s leaked intel.
It may not come as a surprise to many that another Call of Duty title is coming out this years.
Sledgehammer Games, an Activision-owned studio which was last responsible for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, will be developing the World War shooter.
WWII promises to bring players back to it roots just as Call of Duty 1 and 2 did.
This come after recent years of onslaught by fans frustrated with sci-fi futuristic Call of Duty games and how the franchise has deviated so much that it was beginning to copy elements from games such as Titanfall and Halo.
Well considering it’s a WWII game, players can rest assured there will be nothing futuristic about this one.
A livestream is schedule for next week wednesday for the official reveal at 1pm ET.
