Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 10 5G in Botswana; know the price

The Redmi Note 10 5G cell phone arrives in Botswana from this Tuesday (22) for the suggested price of $174 to reinforce Xiaomi’s line of intermediate smartphones. The device with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage stands out for its more modest technical sheet than other members of the Note 10 line, in addition to its 5G internet compatibility.

The Chinese giant claims that it is an Android phone specializing in speed. The promise of performance is great, something much requested by part of Botswana consumers.

The Redmi Note 10 5G’s screen is 6.5 inches, with an IPS panel – inferior to the other models in the line – and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The refresh rate reaches 90 Hz, an important advance for those looking for more fluid visual movements and games. The smart adaptation function makes adjustments to optimize the battery depending on the content displayed (game, video etc).

Two light sensors adjust screen brightness according to ambient conditions.

On the rear are the three cameras of the Redmi Note 10 5G. They are arranged as follows:

  • 48 MP main (f/1.8) with PDAF
  • 2 MP Macro (f/2.4)
  • 2 MP depth sensor (2.4)

The choice of Xiaomi leaves aside the ultra wide camera, a natural choice for those who are traveling and want to capture a very wide scene. On the other hand, the portrait mode – with a blurry background – is guaranteed, as well as the possibility of recording objects up close due to macro camera, a trending fashion in Botswana.

On the front camera, 8 MP selfies (f/2.0).

The computing power of the device is based on the 7-nanometer MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip. The maximum speed reaches 2.2 GHz. To do the job, the manufacturer globally announced two RAM memory options: 4 GB and 6 GB. There are also two storage options: 64GB and 128GB. Botswana only receives the version with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

There is no doubt that the 5G connection is one of the highlights of the model, although there is still no 5G internet at full capacity in the country. Other manufacturers also carry out this move from already mobile offerings with the next generation of connectivity.

The 5,000 mAh battery promises 16 hours of gaming autonomy, 22 hours of video viewing, or 178 hours of music playback. “In normal use, the battery easily lasts a full day,” according to Xiaomi’s promotional material.

The smartphone runs Android 11 with a special interface from the Chinese manufacturer: MIUI 12 . It brings a number of additional features and greater privacy control.
