Screen and design

The Galaxy A01’s screen is 5.7 inches and displays images with HD+ resolution (1520 x 720 pixels). In addition, the device invests in an LCD panel, which must consume more battery than other types of display, since it does not have absolute black – that is, it has a layer of light that is always on.

In terms of design, the smartphone opts for a drop-shaped notch screen to house the front camera. The finish, in turn, is made of matte plastic, which promises adherence due to the material and an ergonomic footprint due to its size.

Camera

Despite not investing in a large amount of megapixels, the A01 has a dual camera on the technical sheet: 13 MP main and 2 MP depth. The set with two sensors can also be seen in basic models from other brands, such as the Moto E7 . The advantage of the latter is the quality of the record, as it produces 48 MP photos – much more.

A 5 MP sensor is available for selfies. The front camera, as well as the rear arrangement, offers blur for the background of the photos, providing the portrait mode . Among other features are the digital zoom of up to eight times and the possibility of recording videos in Full HD at 30 fps.

Performance and Storage

Samsung uses a Qualcomm processor : the Snapdragon 439 is an octa-core with a speed of up to 2 GHz. Despite composing the most basic line, the benchmark tests put the A01’s performance as slightly faster than the Galaxy A10 models and A10S. Therefore, the smartphone must meet the basic demands of everyday life. The RAM has only 2 GB, very little to the present day.

Note that there are only 32 GB of storage. The smartphone does not have a microSD card slot , which could normally be used to expand its memory.

Drums

The 3000 mAh battery should provide a day of use with a moderate application routine. Competitors like the LG K22 bring the same capacity, but other models, such as the Moto E7, can guarantee more time away from outlets thanks to the 4,000 mAh.

The charger that comes with the A01 in the box has 5 W of power and uses a standard micro USB input. These are specifications and not very common on the market, but they are consistent with a phone designed for those looking for a low-cost option.

Android version and additional features

The Galaxy A01 runs Android 10 with One UI interface, one of Samsung’s recent trump cards. The update for Android 11 is guaranteed and, according to the manufacturer’s official schedule, it should start being distributed in July.

It should be noted that the smartphone does not have a fingerprint reader, but it does offer facial recognition to unlock access to applications. In addition, the A01 brings Bluetooth 4.2, but it owes NFC and Wi-Fi 5 GHz, since it only has the frequency of 2.4 GHz.
